military kids camp

Each year Grotonwood is able to make summer camp a reality for children of military families.

Grotonwood has been hosting camps for children of military families since 2018. What started out as one dedicated session for 35 kids has grown to into a program that serves 120 children of military families each summer.

Thanks to the generous support received from Friends of Regional Ministries (FORM) and the Boston Baptist Social Union, each year, we are able to serve children of deployed, active duty, National Guard, Reserve (including Coast Guard) and veterans with an almost free week of summer camp.

During your camper’s stay, they’ll enjoy supervised daily swimming, blobbing & tubing (12+ age and swim level restrictions apply), Segways, arts & crafts, singing in chapel, roasting marshmallows over a campfire, low & high rope adventure courses, talent shows, sports, team games and more! They will learn to live in community, grow their independence and build character a loving christian environment.

We are welcoming and safe space for kids of all faiths, backgrounds, and gender identities. We teach basic Christian values such as peace, love, justice and kindness through our engaging and high energy chapel services and Bible-studies. Participation in all activities, including our faith based programming is voluntary. We operate our faith-based programming under the assumption that at least 75% of our campers are not christian and/or have never experienced religious activities.
