In 2010, we are offering ONE session of "Adventure Week" at Oceanwood. Similar to "Summer Trips" weeks at Grotonwood, this program is for high-functioning adults with Special Needs. Several field trips are planned, including a trip to Funtown/Splashtown. Therefore, campers applying for this session must have a higher level of independent living skills. This week is designed for active special needs adults. Mobility should NOT be an issue for campers attending this session. Applications will be carefully reviewed

What you need to know
The four-page camper application AND four-page medical form must be received by Grotonwood-Oceanwood, along with payment of the non-refundable/non-transferable deposit, in order to reserve a space for camp.
PHONE RESERVATIONS are NOT accepted. ONLINE RESERVATIONS are NOT accepted, due to the length of the application.
ALL applicants are required to complete the application and medical form. It is very important to be as detailed as possible to ensure adequate care for the camper. Once the application form is filled out, return it to the address listed on the form, along with the deposit. Just sending the completed application and deposit does NOT guarantee the camper a spot for the session. Prior to acceptance to camp, camp personnel and the camp nurse will review all forms. If any questions arise, camp personnel will contact the care provider or responsible person using the phone numbers provided on the application forms.
HOLDOVER weekends are available at GROTONWOOD only. They are ONLY for those campers registering for 2 consecutive weeks of camp. NOTE: Holdovers are also designed for those campers able to handle 2 full weeks of camp and who are high-functioning with NO mobility issues. If you have a question about holdovers, PLEASE call the camp office BEFORE you complete the application.
